Hello Junkies, I would like to make a point that some staff don't have promotion powers. I find this ridiculous. I think every staff should have promotion abilities since there have been occasions where staff without promotion abilities have been unable to help others in this situation.

I also think it would be wise to do this because they are trusted members of the community which is why they are staff in the first place. So I think it should be a permission that is given with the staff rank.

Second. How could "promote defaults to member" or member->vet possibly be abused? Unless the promotion ability also includes promoting vets to VIP.

I would say it would only go as far as member to Vet. Usually the Admins and CMs are the ones who promote people to VIP and higher

So, as far as I'm aware, Giving someone promotion abilities is an all or nothing shot. Meaning they can promote up top the rank right below them.

The reason all staff don't have this ability, as it was explained to me, is that if the commands are done wrong it cause a lot of unneeded stress on the server.
