Last shutdown/re-set

Well I know that no one will get special treatment and Im not expecting to be an exception but I feel like I need to share this.

I spent around 3-4 hours mining. and hade a pretty good spree, with the help of my Diamond fortuneIII I gathered around a stack and 22 diamonds, about 1 stack gold ore, 3 stacks iron ore and other minerals. I kept all my finding in my enderman chest before i mixed it with my stuff from before going mining.

After dinner I came back and could not connect.. I waithed 1.5 hours until it had its restart. I went on but about after 20 min It just shut down..

Now when I logged on, I came on to an Empty Enderchest. All my loot was gone..
Now thats fair game It rolled back Ill have to do it again. BUT what isnt Ok Is that the ores i mined isnt rolled back so the area under my house where i hade mined those hours, Now has much less diamonds and I cant recover it.

Im not here begging for anything back But I really want to know Where i can keep my stuff and minimize the chanse of having it gone.
