Suggestions for the staff on dealing with bans

This is an idea I just had that should make things a bit more fun for the staff/overlords/admins.

When people get banned and appeal it successfully, we should make them go a few rounds in a PVP arena with some of the staff+! The number of rounds would be determined by the severity of their crimes and the awesomeness of their appeal.

We could even then make a wall in Spawn with item frames and "heads of banned players" on display!

What do you think?

I don't think we should put banned player heads on a wall. We don't need to give attention to the troublemakers. If they're now "clean", the last thing they need is someone constantly trashing their reputation. Trust me, Its happened to me and it sucks.

I agree with Josh. There won't be any public shaming of banned players. With the exception of extreme cases (Og_Reapper), most players have the chance to be unbanned. If a player was wrongfully banned then shaming them like you suggest would be wrong. If they were rightfully banned but successfully appealed, then they've served their time and should be welcomed back into the community (and if they shouldn't be they shouldn't be unbanned). It's just not right.

But with the exception of certain players, like Og_Reapper, Wildytolumby/Tempestrial, ElJosho424, and other players who have gone out of their way to attack our server and hurt our players, I can't say I'd be opposed. But those usually aren't as clear cut as the griefers you're talking about.
