Stargates and warps.

Post by Xeronaile »

So it's been a while since we've had a full blown town that people ACTUALLY lived in, in harmony.

Ever since warps to towns, or community villages accessible by stargates were removed, I felt the community slightly declined into chaos of PvP, or whiners like me about wanting the good ol' stuff back.

Now I know some peoples answers would be "Go to the old world ya' stupid squid"
But, then where would the player villages come in, we have fifty thousand of those there, no one is ever there except for some VIP and Staff.

I would ask if we can get them added, just as a perk since PvP was removed. I think it would be nice.

I don't care if you don't disagree, just don't post unless you notice a REALLY big flaw with the idea, only if you support it.

Yes! i love this idea, warps where awesome, and now without PVP they make sense again, warps made travelling a hell of a lot easier! I'm with xero on this one.

The flaw I see in this is that you tend to care less for the size of the world. When you can just run out to 1000000, 10000000 and set a warp, no one realize that you're AGES away. Also, Warps tended to get too high in numbers. In the old world there's something like 20 PAGES of warps. It's sillyness.

If we can set up a rules set as to how you get them, what terms must be met to use them, and a deletion of old ones.. then I would agree.

I agree with Kommy and I think if stargates cost money they wont be as often made, if that doesnt work out we could also have some sort of a election process kind of like adv builder

Ehh...I think 50K a gate is a bit cheap. 75K is a bit better.

Nico, I didn't mean in the way of "I wanna purchase a warp", but for those larger things, a game center, maybe the most popular town can get a warp, I didn't intend to say that players could ask and get a warp.

Stargates at 50 grand is good, we used that method in the old world and it worked out perfectly. But we must have rules, it cannot be a single house that you want a stargate for, but instead a town or community center just focused on chilling.

this would tend to my butthurtness of pvp going away )': but how about 1 million dollars for a stargate >:D so they're things people of power could create, things that people with an amazing town would actually purchase to bring in the newbies

A million? Seriously?
The fun days, in my opinion when minecraft was still fresh to me we had a bunch of 50k, 90 iron bars, and a button total. people could create them and allow people into their town, like greenville, or flint or Steel! (two awesome towns By an old member), this plan could work, or fail, it's all up to Kommy.

If I recall, stargates we're 50k in the old world when we had them there. That is an awful lot of money to me at least, I think 50k is a fair price for a warp. The only reason Ken said 1 million, is because he is a slave driver and has unlimited money. Bally and Ken are exceptions to the rule of 50k being a lot though, as they are they richest (as far as I know :P) people on the server as far as money goes.
