I've been experimenting and have been able to make some skins. What I like about the program im using is i can mix and match parts. If you want I am able to easily edit your skin (ecspecially for Chrstmas ). So if you like your skin but think it could use some changes let me know.
*Note* What I am doing is not stealing as long as you don't show this on public sites
I forgot to mention that i mainly use methods of combination and pixel editing.

Yeah... I do this to but, I just use paint I have made Kaos, Kolo and myself christmas skins and am going to make one for torch. I did not post on the forums so, if you need any help Fraggles, just ask me.
Will do.. just to let you all know it is very easy for me to pull up your skins with what I use. All I need is your Minecraft username and what you would like changed.
