When you die are you allowed to log out to come back where you are. Cause cald and county said its ok when its not pvp related, but bally said its not allowed and that boxes said no and that your not allowed to do it at all. So are you allowed to do this or not

No. That's exploiting the game. It's a cheat.

I didn't exactly say it was okay. I said I didn't care as long as it didn't interfere with anything PVP related, and that other staff may feel differently. This is because I haven't gotten a chance to speak to any staff about this, and as a general rule I really just don't care how you choose to play your game as long as it isn't negatively affecting other players (this is obviously overrided by specific rules like no hacking, no duping, etc.) Also it'll be gone by the time we get the recommended build of Bukkit so I'm not that concerned about it.

Also Cald was obviously just saying that to cover his ass since he just did it himself lol.

i was under the impression that the rule was, if its not in a pvp situation, then it does not matter, hence i logged out and in again

as count said other staff may have other opinions.

this is an undecided rule which needs to be decided

I would say that unless you cant respawn due to a residence bug that nobody should do this

I used to have a bug back before 1.5.1 that every time I died my minecraft would crash and it would say I have an internal error. However this has since been fixed, and I am highly against the relog glitch because I feel it exploits the game as gman said. However it also depends on what staff are on at the time you do it. I have talked to a few staff/police about it and some don't seem to mind, others do. Either way it is still not nice to do because you are cheating the game.
