I would just like to say thank you so much to Blueangel317

Back when the server first started, when there were only two towns and a few smaller ones just starting to pop up - most people took to the coastline that ran by Hilltop (the town that once stood where the Oldworld Spawn is now)

Now, taking the coast to the left would lead you to Asgard but most people didn't know this and took right. Right was a long trek that would (usually) lead you to Asgard as well but unless you left at dawn you'd be caught in the dark.

There at the mid-way point where the sea finally began to curve back to the other town I built "The Crossroads". The Crossroads was a fairly large building, with a reception area in the bottom (as well as a natural cove I mined into when grinding out the land to have the front door at beach level) and four rooms upstairs which had a chest, oven, workbench (and a wool bed because beds hadn't been invented back then). I had wired it so that the metal doors to the rooms only opened from switches behind the reception desk (something I was quite proud of back then). Even made a nice garden up top where I experimented with the new "Note Blocks" they had added to the game. I brought a couple Newbies there, housed them for the night, let Fabeth dig her tunnels underneath when she first started on the server and for the most part just generally let it run itself and house whoever needed housing.

Then one day after a hiatus I came back to find it griefed horribly. They had ripped up the red carpeting in the entry way, they had busted into the ceiling to screw with the red wire and they had generally just made a mess of everything. I made small repairs to the redwire just for my pride's sake and turned my back on the old ruin.

I looked at it on the Dynamap today and noticed a tree growing out of the rooftop garden. I knew that building like the back of my hand: there was not a tree when I left it. It's hard to explain how heartwarming it was to walk through those two little doors and find that someone had, while leaving the outside untouched, completely refurbished the interior. They had redecorated the reception room, turned the cove into a hot tub room and even dug down and made an indoor swimming pool. I was a little disappointed they decided to wall off the rooftop garden but I always hated the look when it rained and rain just came right into the upstairs hallway - so I understand why they did it and don't judge.

Thanks BlueAngel: Shes all yours now. That's a piece of server history you've found.
