Mumble Server

We are going to be testing out a Mumble voip chat server. Its similar to Skype, Ventrillo and Teamspeak. Mumble has clients for Windows, MAC and Linux. It does provide an overlay of who is on chat and in game. By default it shows the list in the upper right hand corner. So you will see who is in the server and on chat at the same time. I think this solution is worlds better than Skype as it uses a p2p method of data transfer so you not only send your conversation, but spend data sending others chats also.

As this is just a trial to see how this works out I am interested in feedback.

You can download your client here
http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Installin ... and_Murmur

The server url is talk.minecraftjunkie.com port 31201

I am working on getting the Linux overlay to work as it requires a command launcher it seems but the windows one worked fine and is very cool.

See you in the world.
EDIT: We are done testing and it is a permanent feature of MCJ. Enjoy and stop by and chat with us.

I've never seen him ingame...
Judging by his name, "Imsorryletmeplay" He's more likely banned, or it's a very odd name O_o

Does this need a mic? I heard it does, and it doesn't, if it doesn't I might get it.

well, you can type in it. It actually has text to voice built into it. Countypo on it half of the time without a mike and bunch of other people. Try it... the worst case scenario, you will uninstall it.
Its free and easy

And it lets you interact with members, staff and others much more easily than ingame.
