i don't know anything about server mods or anything but could you get nethercraft running in MCJ?

i think it would be a good thing to add to the community and will make the nether at least liveable in :D

It will not work, below is WHY it will not work.

First, it completely BUTCHERS this "vanilla server" concept.

Second, That is a single player client side mod, so it CANNOT be installed server side.
And even if it could, you would need the client side version or you couldn't connect to the server.
And to top it all off, the "even if you could" assumes a complete rewrite of the client code, and the server side code would have to be written, and we don't have (correct me if I'm wrong) a coder willing to make a mod like that, And even if we did have the mod written, the mod would need to be installed client side in order to connect. We would lose more than two thirds of our players.

Big Brother isn't vanilla.
Essentials isn't vanilla. (This is your /home, /who, private messaging, etc.)
MyWarp isn't vanilla.
Falsebook isn't vanilla.
iChat isn't vanilla. (This is the ranking system)
iConomy isn't vanilla.
LocalShops isn't vanilla.
LWC isn't vanilla.
mcMMO isn't vanilla.
Stargate isn't vanilla.
Permissions isn't vanilla. (This gives certain people access to certain commands, which is why Staff can ban, and Defaults can't spawn thousands of diamonds).
PreciousStones isn't vanilla.
WorldEdit isn't vanilla.
WorldGuard isn't vanilla.

And to top it all off, Bukkit isn't vanilla.

We are not a vanilla server. I don't know why anyone has ever thought that we are, but we're not.

Are you referring to that nonsensical catchphrase John made when the server was first created? C'mon man. A "vanilla" version of a game is a game as the creators made it: without any modifications by outside parties. If there is a modification to the game...it's not unmodified. These are black and white adjectives. It's either is vanilla, or it isn't.

Look at the banner for the MCJ server, then look at Counts words.
