Starting over

First off: I'm aware this will be a controversial topic. For that reason, this post itself will be locked to prevent unneeded spam, or arguments from breaking out within the announcement itself. I ask that you please refrain from posting here until that is done. If you feel the need to tell someone how you feel about this, you're welcome to PM me personally. I will also made a thread that everyone's welcome to discuss the changes within. But I will ask that you keep hostility to a minimal. Remember, your friends run this server.. Treat everyone like real people.

Now that the disclaimer is done, the new!

Minecraft Junkie will be adding a new 1.7.2 world, and deleting current worlds!! (Old world and "New world")

There has been SO much talk about this, between the higher ups. The finally decision was made by Kommy. As much as everyone loves this server, and our maps, and how much history there is with them, sadly everything has just gotten to be too much. The MCJ maps are.. huge. Many gigs. And with new terrier being added, and the biomes changing, and new blocks to be found, the time has come.

Let's talk about what the perks of a new world are!
New areas to build in, like the new Biomes. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Biome
It will give people who want to, a chance to start over.
Should be much less lag, with smaller map size.
No weird biome errors. Like when you go to a new area, and it's not the same as what it is 3 blocks away.
Farm mobs won't be as hard to get ahold of. (Horses and such)

And some things we're changing about the new world!
No personal Stargates. Kommy feels very strongly about having people WALK to each other. No stargates, to cross huge distances, will have people join towns again, and have communities.
World Limit. There's going to be a (I believe we decided on) 35k block world limit. This will prevent people from lagging down the server by going 100k blocks out, for giggles.
All previous rules will be revised as needed.

How it's going to happen!
One month from today (Jan 6th, we'll say.) The current worlds will be no more.
All members are welcome to create a single chest worth of items to carry over.
*These will be moved via admin (Aka Nico is in charge of this) Create your chest, and PATIENTLY get my attention to move it for you.*
Spawn will be placed in the world, and the block limits will be in place, before anyone's allowed in the new world.
Once the world is open, there will be no going back and forth. This is to prevent taxiing things cross worlds.
