um i updated to 1.8 on accident is there any way i can play on older version again (1.7.3)

Most of us did, me Korthic, caldrin, destolo, Dole, etc, all updated.
You need the files of 1.7.3

Whoa hey now that makes me sound like an idiot Xero.. I am no idiot and I backed up my 1.7.3 folder as always
I just choose to play on 1.8 servers for now

Can't you just copy your 1.7 Minecraft.jar file before you update, update to 1.8, and whenever you want to go back to 1.7, just delete the 1.8 Minecraft.jar file and fill it in with the older 1.7.3 one?

Pretty much.. I just copy my whole .minecraft folder though so I can keep all my settings and mods working and keep clean installs.
