Soon or eventually mod API will be part of minecraft, this basically means that when a player joins our server they are able to download the series of mods we have installed without having to mess with any files. I would like to sit down with our active community in mumble with Kommy(when you are available) and talk about our future and what we plan to do to make our server stand out. Discussion will include our custom mod pack; giving source file permissions to a trusted CM,Staff, or Admin; Admin promotion for the CM who deserves it...Explodingboxes; A way to get our huge income of current defaults to actually stay on the server; Then concluding the conversation with business and advertisement with where we should be focusing our attention to attract new members.
Thank you for taking time to read my proposal and i hope we can get some positive feed back!

I think it would be great to make the server stand out like that, but it may cause peoples clients to crash because their computers can't handle it, but I do think overall it would be great for the server

I think you guys ought to institute a regular meeting of the minds between staff/admins. We also need to begin recruiting a more active staff team. There are two, maybe three authority faces in the server regularly. And yes, everyone else is usually available on Mumble, but when the defaults come in, they don't see much of a real core community to speak of. And as approachable as you all are, it's a bit intimidating to feel like I'm always pulling you out of another game to come deal with problems on a server you don't even like to play on anymore.
I think a visible core community would go a long way.

Would this also make it so we can download the actual server map?

Not sure... the whole API thing is pretty new and I for once can't wait for it to come out. I've been thinking lately on couple of changes, the main one to finally launch the game world but Im just having problems with these freaken game plugins. The ones that I like are usually the once that outdated. The one that worked, only works on the main world, lol. So Im still trying to get it going so we got more stuff to do if we get bored with regular playing style. I think API will let us do things that we want but will see when that happens I guess

And that is where the Mod API could come in, if we can run mods, then we have a ton more freedom with what we can do, by adding in new items. Etho (Youtuber) Is making a game area in FTB with the mods in that, you could take inspiration from that, and apply that here. For later, of course.

On a related note, can we PLEASE get a list of the active plugins from you Kommy? I've been poking at you for a while now about it and you seem to either forget or ignore me about it. I'd like to see if there's some we can prune down based on how often they are ACTUALLY getting used.
