Ok Ok OK I heard all the suggestions.

Ok, so from hearing all the people complain or suggesting Im thinking of maybe getting rid of mcmmo completely and enabling pvp with a toggle pvp plugin.
At the same time Im thinking maybe replacing mcmmo with Heroes instead so the gameplay be more balanced and not veterans raping new people.
At the same time IM thinking of enabling stargates back but making them 100,000.00 so new people dont waste their money on the first day by mistake. They will play on server for a while and get the hang of it and work to make their money so by the time they make that money- they will know how and where to set it up.
I do remember the old times when we had less plugins and people loved it and now seems like we got shitload of plugins and people just getting bored.
My personal opinion is to get to basics and I do not mean that lets just have 100 percent vanilla but lets just stop adding new worlds and just keep like 3 worlds and make it easier for people to get around by enabling stargate but like I said, make it so that its expensive and people dont own like gazzillion of stargates.
Or, to make it more clear and not messy, enable warp plugin back through essentials and essentials economy too and do it that way, People will be able to buy their own warp points for 100,000.00
I do have to switch the server from Iconomy to another economy plugin and that would make sense to do it at the same time. Also, maybe its a good idea to reset money too?
Anyways....sorry for rambling, had a long day today and NICO... Im getting all the social info to you either tonight or tomorrow.

Okay after reading it i like the stargate 100k fee, cutting down on worlds is good and I don't think iconemy should be reset but switching it should be fine right? Just out of curiosity what do you think it will be switched with? I myself originally joined junkie mostly because of mcmmo, when I came on as a default I liked stargate and iconemy and the community so I signed up and it got better from there. All of us have worked hard for mcmmo/iconemy and resetting would be a huge let down which iv'e already heard people saying they may quit due to it. Besides that sounds great, look forward to stargates :)

Kommy I think it will be unfair to get rid of all the money because people like me with 1.7m worked hard selling many things for that money and then it'll all be wiped =(

I think we should make an attempt to set a time to have verbal discussion on mumble at some time in the near future to make it easier to understand each other and have a more free flowing way of ideas.

MCMMO:

I think that only the combat skills should be reset. im not saying that because i have a low combat skill because my swords skill is at about 500 im saying that because it is much easier to level up a combat skill then it is to level up gathering skills. either that or just remove the combat skills but i dont think that all of mcmmo should be removed.


Warps/Stargates:

i dont think we should have warps i only think that we should have stargates and only make it so a staff member can make them that way we can have at least some form of control over where a stargate is that way a random griefer cant just make one with a obscene name out in the middle on know where.

I agree with dole's idea, I think that the first thing to do is to get as many staff team members on mumble at once and get some veterens, or older members. I would like you to be there as well Kommy, as while we may have opinions, the final say is infact yours. I have lots of idea's to share with all of you, and will probably gain more as the discussion progresses. I am hopeful that all these ideas and opinions we all have as a group can form into one plan of action.
The point of what we all do is to help the community grow and prosper, Junkie is a community and a home for all of us, and what is needed is the best thing for it.

I would like to set up maybe two dates for a meeting incase someone can't make one, we would also need to collaborate a bit with our members across the Atlantic and Pacific.
If someone can please start to arrange this that would be awesome, and if anyone wants to talk to me directly the best way to reach me is through the forums.

I personally don't see any reason to reset the money. I like having lots of money just for the heck of it (being rich is so much more fun than being poor. It gives you freedom and friends if you desire.) If we're going to, which would make me sad, I want $2,000,000 of what I have to go towards paying off Kenny's loan, and the rest to subsidize "The Pit" (Made by Gman). Also, I'm not really a fan of resetting/getting rid of MCMMO. Its just going to make my defensive capabilities lower, decrease my food efficiency, and encourage me to use /fly to avoid fall damage. If we do reset it anyways, we'll face this exact same problem in a few months. The smart players are going to spend a few weeks power leveling their axes, swords, and fists, and we'll be back to square one.

I've never used Heroes, but I do think MMO would be fine if we either set a regular reset interval for combat stats, or else start newbies off at a high level so they aren't totally helpless.I like that the OGs are overpowered personally. It both gives them a kind of respect and gives us a goal to work toward.

I like the idea of warps, but I can see why they would be disliked. As far as multi worlds, this is sort of a double-edged sword. It gives everyone what they like, but it also fragments the community.

I very much like the idea of a mumble meeting. In my TF2 clan, the leadership meets in Teamspeak every 2 weeks to talk about policy, directions and implementation. We decide on major changes by vote, and it works pretty well.

Chiming in with my own opinion:

I would have to agree that a large and necessary amount of house cleaning is in order. The server worlds and add-ons have become grossly convoluted, leaving the server and the community without a clearly defined direction. I strongly agree that going back to a base four worlds, old, new, creative, and nether, would be the most ideal set up rather than having a thousand different gimmicky worlds rather than working on the ones we have. The world is massive, there's still room to expand and create new projects, there is really no need to have a new world for every new mod game that we come across.

As for the add-ons them selves:

I think there a few add-ons that we still should consider adding to the list, however what we add should be taken strongly into deliberation. I not keen on heroes based on the problems we had before but I would love to have something like magic spells. Magic spells would help on multiple fronts including boost the economy and adding flavor to game play. MCMMO on the other hand, needs to be tweaked, not gotten rid of entirely, but abilities like impact (the armor breaker) need to be nurfed.

Warps:

To be quick and frank... 300k min and the portal should be done with MVS and you get a portal from spawn to your village. It's easy to set up and we already have the plugin for it.

While looking at how to nerf axes in mcmmo it looks like i found a larger permission list that looks like we can disable certain parts of a skill

this should help kommy with the removal of the Impact skill for axes or any other tweaks that need to be done.
