Ban Appeal

Okay, so first off, I did not know that the ship belonged to any one person, just something cool that someone could coincidentally pass by with their cursor, and say, "Oh, that's cool." Second, I still have NO IDEA how I was even able to open the chest in the first place. If I knew the ship actually belonged to someone, I wouldn't have taken the blocks. I thought that the chest was abandoned. Also, I didn't even finish the house that I was working on. I mined up the blocks that I had already placed, and moved my house. Let me tell you what I was even doing over at the ship (in case you were wondering). I was just mindlessly bored, so I wandered around spawn and decided to see the ship. But then I saw that there was TNT on the ship, so I decided, the MCJ rules say to not place TNT AT ALL, therefore, there should be no TNT at all in the server. So I got rid of the TNT, and I saw a chest. When I saw that I could open it, I looked inside, and saw the iron blocks. "No way. Just random TNT in a chest in spawn that someone could open and take the contents of it." But of course, I didn't take EVERYTHING. Just the iron blocks. But, since I'm convinced that you will not budge, could you please give my belongings to YoshiTRoN (since I'm probably not going to get unbanned)? Also, tell everyone that I will miss them, and that they should not end up like me by making my mistake.
Thank You All Very Much

Bro, I know that it's probably not my place since I'm not staff and I'm not involved. But I've been on staff for a Counterstrike/TF2 community for the last oh, 6 years or so, and I've dealt with bans and appeals and all of that. I just wanna offer some friendly advice.
A ban appeal should NOT be an attempt to justify your actions, so drop the attitude of self-defense.
A ban appeal SHOULD be your opportunity to explain your actions, show remorse and an understanding of wrongdoing, and come to an acceptance of any consequences deemed to fit the problem.
I'm going to now be a little blunt because I know you've been told this before.
Your whole tone of this post comes across as self-justified and self-righteous. You're obviously assuming things about the staff that are quite unfounded because you think you've been unfairly treated.
The whole point of the appeal exercise is to give perspective to both sides of an issue. If I were you, I would rewrite this in a manner that acknowledges the staff has a valid point of view that you've considered, rather than as someone who, in their own mind, is 100% right and their "opponent" (in this case the staff) is 100% wrong. I feel like that would go a long way in proving yourself wrong about how made up their mind is about your ban.
Good luck, and God bless. I hope this helps.

Honestly, Gman has some very good words of wisdom for you right there Rback. If you'd like to reconsider your appeal and resubmit it, we'll reconsider as well.
As it stands, you've done nothing but attempt to justify your actions. There's TnT all over spawn, placed there for looks and nothing more. They are also impossible to pick up. And taking things from ANY cheat, abandoned or not, is clearly against our rules. If you could take things outta chests purely because they looked abandoned, no one would have anything after they took a small vacation or just didn't log in for a few days.
So basically what I'm saying here is, no. If you wanna rewrite your appeal to try and show that you legitimately care about getting back on the server than feel free, and we'll go over it again. But as it stands I don't think you're getting unbanned.
And, as I said once already, We don't give away contents of chests to others once someones been banned. Current policy is to let em sit, in case the ban is ever removed.
