as a further a suggestion, we need to make land more valuable so people that get banned, or are no longer active, or have moved to: not ruin the landscape with thier old and discared builds
We need to have stricter rules for the new world if we want it to be what the majority of us want it to be.

After we get all our valuables transferred, we should make the old world a total anarchy server (TNT, fire, PvP, vanilla, etc). Or we could just use it for Cannons vs. Castles (TNT enabled, separate INV, and Vet+ spawning items) :D
Also Kommy, can you enable Flymod for the first few days we get the 1.8 world? That way me and some staff can expand the world a bit so it isn't laggy all the time.

No we dont need people so spread apart.. I would suggest we remove warps and stargate access.. make people create tracks if they wanna go to a far out town. If not they can travel on foot, there will be sprint and it makes the server more survival.. right now with all these towns spread out and warps it makes it very boring and easy to get around. I can go days playing Minecraftjunkie and never see anyone in game because we are so spread out.

I would also suggest we add Residence plugin. I have been testing it on my temp server and its pretty amazing. You can claim land for a residence and pay money per block space for it. You can set a lease so that the land gets unclaimed if the person is no longer online and run out of cash or keeping up with the lease. You can also create subzones inside of your residence and rent out that space.. so if you had built a hotel you could claim the hotel and rent out rooms. You can also put up your residence for sale and have someone else buy it. You can set permissions for the area, who can build, tp, use certain items, block certain items, and much more. It would control most of the griefing and give us another thing to spend are money on since we have too much and nothing to use it on.

The server nneds to be a reasonable size in the first place, so its not constantly lagging. That's the idea. We don't need to expand it much, just about 200-500 chunks.

Ahh thats easy to do, I used a mod that creates impassable boundaries.. it allows you to also load all the chunks in the boundary and it can kill all the chunks outside the boundary.. its pretty cool plugin.

Biggest problem with the boundries is that it limits mining, cave exploration, and dungeons.

Yeah I am not saying keep the boundaries just use a mod like that or similar to load the chunks.. takes a few minutes. I just wish people would stop going so far out in the middle of nowhere to build a town that nobody will ever see more than once. Just pointless :D

Personally, I would like to make a house that's about a thousand blocks away from civilization, cuz that's just how i am

I would love to have the old world as a total anarchy or just pvp, it's like a huge Asgard!

I personaly like the idea of just starting completely over with an entirely new map(however i do think being able to keep some possesions is a good idea too). if we were to just start over without the old map(the one we use now) at all, whether it would be just deleted or maybe impossible to go to for some time, it would really help us to actualy work together, we could all help to build some giant city or something. it would also help to find a solution to the problem of people being too spread out since if there were no citys or safe havens we would all have to help in order to make one and in doing so we would sort of all feel attached to this city/safe haven thing and probably go there more often than if it was just one city in like, 50.
