i like what kaos is thinking but not wipe the map every month cause then no one would want to play on it and members+ is ok i guess maby vip+ and adv+

If we do make an anarchy map, could we maybe separate the chat somehow? Otherwise it will get craaaaaaazy.

I love the idea of this anarchy world. I would think it should allow veterans at the lowest rank so there could be a little less chaotic and less complete destruction of someone's build. I do think if only higher ranked people, like adv+ would make the world seem like an exclusive club and i don't see that being fair for the other members of junkie. My point on MCMMO is that it should not be active in this world so people (like anyone in the top ten of skills) get an ungodly amount of supplies right away with double drops and super breaker's triple drop. I do not agree with wiping the map since there will be many people who will build something they are extremely proud of and would be heart broken to see it disappear. For the safe towns, really just need the spawn town to be safe and the rest is just a free for all.

Our PVP world "Siberia" was a complete failure, and it was open to everyone Members+. People get bored of new stuff fairly fast, so this anarchy world should be open to everybody Members+. That way, since there are more people trying it out when it comes out because "everybody's there", there will be a larger pool of people still playing it after a month because they decided they legitimately liked it after the newness factor died. But we need that large initial burst, and that sturdy fan group afterwards, or it'll just be dead in a month.

If we do the anarchy world style thing, we would need something to keep it from getting old, also something that not many other servers have. Like something I think would be cool could be having villages scattered about and groups of people like clans or whatever need to gain control and gain loot from the all mighty gods xD. Of course it probably wouldn't be anything like that. But we need something like weekly events to have people continually looking forward to something. Then it wouldn't just be a one time rush if there was always something different going on. Like for example (still going off the idea I suggested a sentence back) There could be a central hub were you can try and take control which gives you better loot and other oddities. Much like World vs. World (The only good part of Guild wars 2) Once again those things are only examples. But we need something that would keep a continually stream people without loosing so many along the way.

Here's the evolution of our Lost World, Syberia and New World PvP
Lost world- It was our first time trying, a month or two of activity, then it slowly began to die out after the superior Factions (Kahn) crushed the other ones. People migrated back to OldWorld, and... Well then we got new world!
New World: Initial start of the new world, people simply built a new place, migrated old stuff and walla, OldWorld became the LostWorld, Abandoned except for some that still inhabited it.
Syberia- This was interesting, we got this world, added some neat stuff, built a nice place in the beginning, but that was simply LostWorld with MINOR tweaks to it. Ended up basically the same

The issue that we made in my opinion was entertainment- This is somewhat like a food chain

Big guy kill little guy, little guy quits, bigger guy eats big guy, Big guy quits
So forth until the Bigger Bigger Bigger guy has no one left to eat, so he quits.

So then the world's abandoned, Factions and PvP lead to a single thing- Rage, Quitting and a dominate faction, once these things occur, the world's abandoned.


I personally found my favorite times in Junkie History:
Old world.
Old world had a community, Stargates that linked towns and warps. People would create them, find positioning from Staff, then walla, we got a nice town people like to live together in.

Some towns that existed (Popular)
-Flint
-Nether Brick spawn (Count's house)
-Steel
-Greenland
-Darkshire (I own it now)

IMO, you'll always get the same results if you add in faction worlds, unless you made pre-set factions in a Real-World like map, such as the factions:
Russia
USA
England
AFRIIICA
China
Canada
Australia
and set a president for each one, with the ability to enforce rules onto it's faction.

That's all I can see that will alter the course of a Faction-world, we can't exactly change it because there will always be strife and screaming... capslock... And a bobington...

Squiddy, the Factions worlds died out for two reasons. The first were unbalanced factions, with all of the staff and the high level PVPers in one faction that had over a dozen people, and everybody else scattered across smaller ones. If there was a limit on how many people were in a faction, those worlds may have lasted a bit longer.

The second was an uncontrolled world. In the factions I was in, both times our group decided to travel THOUSANDS of blocks out into the middle of nowhere to set up shop. And everyone else did the same thing. It took over an hour to walk from one group to another some times, just for a 1 minute scuffle or to arrive and have the enemy walled up in their base with no way in. A forced smaller world would prevent that. IMO any future worlds like that should be 1,500 x 1,500 MAXIMUM as it starts, and if it really gets cramped the boundaries can slowly be extended.

We usually transport people between worlds using Stargates, which require a Members rank to use so new griefers don't head into older worlds and destroy everything in an attempt to grief us without us knowing (Such as what Og_Reapper tried to do). If there's a way to bring all ranks into the anarchy world while still only allowing Members into the Stargates, I see no problem with it.

I agree with Purpz, its taking away much of the vanilla aspect. If we do decide on this faction-like society, no matter what the staff will team up and then the vets will then team and then the members will team up. It would be nearly impossible to have any sort of balance of power unless we consider Squidy's country proposition, but then there goes the "Anarchy World."
