Whilst creating a new tool, you must first create it's durability, and speed. I believe it's marked as F or FL, I made a crappy mod like 3 months ago and broke it later on, but a stone pickaxe for instance, can break 56 blocks. The diamond, three thousand.

Oh okay I know what you mean now, you are talking about the durability of the tool. Diamond is just a little over 1500 (Like 1565 or something) The durability of the tools are 2000 so around 500 more than diamond has.

Kewl. I still have to setup my MCP because after it became MCP52 (Is that what you're using?) I just had a brainfart and couldn't get back on track to learning. I'll check out your mod and the links!

Update: Updated a few times so far (But the MCJ forums won't always let me post so I ragequit a few times) New feature's
1.3.1 compatible (Newest version)
Added Armor,
Lot's and lots of add bugs then bug fixes,
nerfed the tools at the expense of enchanting (In v1.1.0) tried to make them faster not sure how much of a change it made though.
I think that's about it, go check it out, tell me what you think, here or on the MCF.

Idea: More weapons added to Minecraft.
Crafting a Glowing ball, or just using Gloal surrounded by either glowstone, or the Glowing blocks/ingots and then you can place that on the Glowing rod, which is a metal basically (three ingots in a single form, or diagonal) , place it atop the stave or two in the crafting bench and you have the staff, it can Melee, or you can use it like a bow in drawback, to shoot either a flame or Add health to yourself. (Health hearts, not chicken wing).
Weapon Idea ^^
Glowing lamps- similar to pumpkin lamps but smalelr and more compact, like a small brass tablet on the wall, with 2 rods partially sticking out and connecting to a little tea-cup sized thing, then above that some glass curves out and light emmits in it. This expands larger than a torch, and is a decorative thing. Look up brass lamps on wall and look for a small one, not open with massive bulging bulbs, but one, singular and compact. Basically a lantern on a wall, but nicer.
Suggestions for the mods programming-
Lower the speed on the pickaxes, axes and shovels. They act like Efficiency III, and that's a bit overpowered at the amounts they appear in.
-More uses for gloal (It could be involved in what I said above?)
Possibly you could add new items that do not glow? For instance, a Hammer, and a chisel. A hammer could simply be a stick, then an iron ingot (If the recipe is incompatible with other mods make it sideways, if that still is bad then add leather or some more sticks on one side, to make it compatible). A chisel could be cobblestone on the left of a stick. You can use the hammer to smash gloal into dust, then lay it down like redstone. But with Gloal dust, it could possibly weaken mobs by causing slowness II if they are in this area, must be a certain size, cannot be any larger Etc.
You should add some properties for each item. You could hold down the right click button for the Glowing pickaxe and have it be able to break obsidian in one punch, or something else.
You seem to be ub3r pr0 at all this, so let's push you!

Very nice of you to think that Xero, but I am very very far from even coming close to "Pro" I am still very much learning. I almost feel like I am in a position of the Terraria dev, I really just kind of did this with minimum knowledge, and wanted to learn more. (But unlike him, I am not gonna discontinue for a long time
) I will try my best to do this. I think it will be really good to learn this kind of stuff. I especially like the pickaxe "Skill" part. I will try my best

The general creators of mod always seem to never add a special perk to it. In tekkit, they managed to (Whoever created EE) add right click perks, but they weren't exciting, just block breaking or block placing things.
GL on learning, if you ever find out how to change player models please TELLLESSZZ MEEE
