Questions about PvP arenas
I've been told recently that my pit as it stands in its current, incomplete state, would make an epic PvP arena. So I was thinking I could do something similar and make it an actual arena. What goes into making one? What do I need to k ow and plan for? How do I set it up? Are there a min. And max. Dimensions required? If someone is good at redstone, could you help me build traps? Etc.

Re: Questions about PvP arenas
You might want to let other Staff see your pit... The majority of the Staff team decide whether this is suitable for a PvP arena. Then, from there, if it would be an excellent arena they can tell you the dimensions
In my opinion, it should be big, as in wide. Obstacles in the center, Climbable walls, and A lift sign down, but not up.
(Unless a staff has told you it him/her self?)

Be sure to have a talk with me if you need any help, I am willing to help you build this if it is needed, if it is about architecture or redstone, does not matter. :]

Re: Questions about PvP arenas
IN MY OPINION
PvP arenas need to be:
-big enough but not too big that you don't get lost
-they need to have both open and dense areas for PvP
-they need an anti cheat system (safezone dancing, jumping out etc)
-they need to have interesting terrain and buildings to please the eyes
-they need a name to please the ears
-they need to be shown to staff + so they can figure out if it is a suitible arena for PvP (VIP's opinions may also count)
-and lastly they need PvP to be turned on through worldguard and there is 2 ways of doing this
if staff have told you it is substantial enough to be a pvp arena you could either
1. bug them to ask kommy / korthic to worldguard the area
2. send a message to kommy / korthic via forums and ask yourself
if you need any inspiration there is always the portals in narnia hat take you to PvP areanas COUGHBRATABARUSISBESTCOUGH
