Ban repeal?

I just got banned from the temp server. I understand the mod's thinking, but I wasn't given a chance to explain before being killed and banned.

There was a big ship some players had built, and I wanted to explore it. I couldn't find any way onto it, so I broke a hole in the side to get on, with intention to fix it after I had boarded. Before I could board and repair it, or even explain what I was doing, I was killed and banned.

I'd like to be given another chance. I'd hate to be gone forever just because I wanted to look at someone's boat.

And you might be banned from the real server as well because there is evidence of theft from the potato pirates AND burning down Kenpachi's base (he owns the potato pirates base)

I thought it was abandoned, and was definitely not an impressive creation like the ship. Also, being a temp server, I was under the impression that minor prankster actions would matter, as the entire would would be scrapped in a matter of days anyway as soon as the plugins were finished updating. I will admit, I was not playing seriously here, but now that I know that even temp server actions still have consequences, I would not do anything like that again.

I must ask, does this ban only cover the temp server? I'd like to be able to play once the official world returns, as I had a massive mining project under development there as well as future projects I had planned with a friend, and I'd hate to have lost all that because I was messing around on a temp server.

I only assumed, being a temp server, that this behavior wouldn't matter considering the entire world is going to be scrapped within a few days when the plugins update and the old world returns. Again, this won't happen again now that I know the temp server is being taken seriously.

You are right about the world is being deleted and its only a temp server, but its a reason we have made the rules. On temporary servers may cant break any rule even the world gets deleted, the rules dont miss out. If we didnt have the rules it would be a total chaos, and even with the rules its just so many people that behave themself like the rules are not there.

Temporary servers are not to take a pause from all the rules and enjoy freedom, not at all, it is to check out updates on minecraft and enjoy playing the update with other people.

I misunderstood the point of the temp server then, I thought it was only there so we had something to do while we waited for the old world to come back. I apologize again, and assure you all it would not happen again.

Awesomesaurus, because of the nature of the temp server we're running a zero-tolerance policy for any griefers we catch. You will not be unbanned during the duration of the temp server, but you'll be free to play once the main server is back up with all of our standard anti-grief plugins. Your ban appeal was very good and mature, which is far better than I can say about most of the appeals we get. I hope we'll continue to see that roll over onto our main server.
