cant connect to minecraft.net

hi, i seem to have quite the problem, i cannot log onto minecraft.net when i first start up my launcher.

is this normal or should i fix something?

Yep, this happens. I'm having the same problem but(!) you can still play online using the web client.

i get the loading screen and then BOOM white / black screen nothing happens

I can't connect on the website either, danm.... we where going to do some massive work with hunger games ='(

servers must be down / overloaded or something
