Hylian, we didn't just take some statistics and just assume you were xraying. We checked your caves and found many of your mines were strips leading directly to either coal or Iron, randomly dropping down levels, making weird turns, when you had no reason to turn that way at all to avoid lava, or to find some nearby cave. Sometimes you started mining in the middle of nowhere, just digging straight down to either iron or coal. So basically, your high number of Iron or coal didn't really get our attention to think you were xraying. It was the method of how you got these ores.
Also, the fact that many of your caves were not lit with any light source didn't help either.

Re: Hylian8
Does a set containing all sets contain itself?
Re: Hylian8
It's easy to find coal and iron. They're everywhere. Taking weird turns and finding these resources isn't an unbelievable feat.
Additionally, I generally will dig down about 20 blocks before resorting to safer tactics. It saves time and resources and has a low chance of falling into lava or a cavern (though this does happen occasionally. The further I am from home, the less likely I am to dig straight down, as the less likely I am to get back to my stuff before it disappears). As for the winding caves, when I dig down to find a place, I turn up my volume and listen for bats, skeletons, zombies - anything that makes a noise. That indicates there's a cave around. From there, I dig around until I find a cave. Sometimes I head in the wrong direction. Sometimes I head in the right direction. Sometimes I find resources while looking - it's purely incidental. When I go the wrong way, the noises dissipate, so I turn around and try again in a different direction. That's pretty much the only time I do any sort of strip mining. Except when I'm low on health and block myself in to recover hearts, and then I get bored and just mine a bit until my hearts are back - but this is pretty rare. Or when I feel that I've already explored most of the cave I'm in but I'm not ready to head back yet. Or when I need cobblestone and just kind of dig. But all of these cases happen pretty infrequently vs finding a cave.
Also, check to see if I'm avoiding gravel or dirt. I hate digging through gravel. If I take a weird turn, its generally to avoid gravel.
And I never avoid lava - I always have a bucket of water with me...
And for the lighting - if you turn your brightness settings from moody all the way to bright, you don't have to waste the wood and coal to drop torches. You can easily see what's around you. This is vanilla.
Try digging straight down. Pick a couple locations. If you see one thing of coal, collect it. If, from there, you see one thing of iron, collect it. See how many you come up with by randomly digging straight down. I'm willing to bet you'll find some without having to Xray. Because, when we're talking about iron and coal being 1.6% of all blocks spawned, this is a much bigger number than it seems. If you dig a hole straight down, you can visibly see 5 new blocks. Since iron and coal blanket outward, you only need to see one of it to find a lot more of it. So, if you dig down 40 blocks, you accrue a visibility of 200 blocks. Statistically, you're going to find some resources.

After a ludicrously long conversation/hunting/debating, we've decided to Pardon you, and lift all punishments. You've been unbanned, and none of your goods have been taken. If you'd like to talk about the situation any more, we ask that you speak to us in PMs either here or in game.
Very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we hope that you enjoy your time on MCJ.

I'm the one who initially banned you. I am still not convinced that the tunnels that we found were legitimate, but I trust the opinions of my admins (Nicolu and Explodingboxes) and be deferring any moderation situations in the future with you off to them. I don't want you to feel that you have an "enemy" of a moderator on the server as I have often had in the past in other communities.
As Nico said, none of your resources have been taken. We always wait until the absolute last possible moment with that for even the most obvious/self admitting xrayers because of the seriousness of that action (also it's a pain for us to reverse lol), so we haven't touched your chests at all.
If Nico/Boxes are right, then I'm sorry for the trouble I caused & the time you couldn't spend on our server, and I hope that you do still come back after all of this.

I appreciate the decision of the staff to reverse the Course of Action. Count, I understand you still have your reservations - if there is any way I can put those to ease, please let me know. Hopefully, throughout my time on the server in the future, you'll be able to see that I am not the kind of person to cheat.
I know this situation has taken a lot of time out of all of your days, and for that, I thank you. Thank you for caring about the community. Thank you for allowing me the benefit of the doubt. And, for those who eventually stuck their necks out in my favor, thank you as well.
