Hi, I haven't been able to figure out the version # for MCJ. When I log onto multiplayer it says 1.3?

We are updated to 1.6. It says it's 1.3 due to a weird glitch with the old launcher. Download the new launcher (there should be a link on your title screen of the old launcher) and you can play on the updated version.
